Testimonials

June 27, 2007 I had the privilege of working with Elaine Cury in October of 2006. I asked her to come and help me with some of the behavior problems I was having with my 16 month old Labradoodle. I chose Elaine because she has successfully helped a neighbor friend with her dog and she came highly recommended. Elaine proved to be an excellent dog trainer. She always arrived on time for appointments and then set straight to work. Elaine really took the time to get to know both Hannah my dog and myself. She listened intently to my questions and concerns. Elaine gave answers that were both honest and direct. Elaine was firm, but fair with Hannah and it was obvious she had years of experience with training dogs. At no time did I ever question her techniques ir fell uncomfortable with with what she was doing. I had never met anyone before Elaine, who knew more about dogs, their behavior and the way they think. Elaine showed me how to command and elimimate Hannah's bad behavior.

We highly recommend Elaine Cury for her expertise in training our little dachshund, Sadie. Sadie knew basic commands but was quite the handful. She was definitely running our household. Elaine sized up the situation and educated us on how to correct it. Sadie also had trust issues and the way we were handling it was only making the matter worse. We gave her a list of our concerns and not only did she address them but also made additional suggestions that were very helpful. She is fantastic and is the Dog Whisperer of the East!

Elaine Cury is truly the "dog whisperer" of the East Coast. Her dog psychology is logical and she explains it so we humans can understand ;) Our dog, Bella, has an awful habit of barking and rushing the door when guests arrive. Elaine taught us to be firm and "own" the door! Bella already shows a remarkable difference- amazing! She is much more calm and submissive now that she is learning her place in our "pack". We will (and do) recommend Elaine to any and all dog owners!

Happy Family!

We adopted Poppy from Lamancha 6 weeks ago. I was having difficulty walking her and with other dogs. I had already enrolled her in obedience school. As a courtesy to Lamancha Elaine offered to talk with me over the phone. My phone call with Elaine made a huge difference. Poppy is walking so much better. We have continued with class just because I had already paid for it. The phone call with Elaine has made all the difference.

What a difference a day makes, AND What a difference a great trainer makes!!! We called Elaine Cury to help us with our Carolina Dog/Shepherd mix and we found out that our Border Collie mix really needed help too, for his anxiety issues. Our "pack" didn't have good balance and Elaine showed us how to make that change in our household, along with showing us how we can take our dogs for a walk, instead of the other way around! We even have a new use for our treadmill, besides collecting dust! Elaine showed us exactly what we needed to do to help us to balance exercise, boundaries, and affection - she was so encouraging and positive - we couldn't have asked for a better trainer or a better experience! Thank-you Elaine!!!

Happy Pack Leaders for our furry family!

Mike Annen 5 June 12:47 I wanted to thank Elaine Cury again for the great lesson this past weekend with our boy Bentley . Elaine is remarkable with her teaching methods. She has worked with our family so that we are all on the same page when it comes to training and discipline. She taught us the importance Exercise (which Bentley loves to go on bike rides and use the treadmill) and discipline, then only when calm and submissive to give much needed affection :-). Boy was he spoiled. There are still a few things we are working on, but Elaine's lessons were priceless. Highly recommend for all the new pups. Remember, they don't come with instructions, and need rules, boundaries and limitations early in their puppy years (something that I knew and heard of before, but never followed through). Don't wait until they are 18-19 months like I did. Thank you again Elaine!!!

The purpose of this letter is to recommend Elaine Cury as an awesome pet trainer. Our experience with Elaine is based on her work with our puppy, Cody. From the moment Elaine walked into our home, it was clear that she was an expert in dealing with animals. She has a very strong energy about her and both of our dogs immediately recognized her as ?in charge?. Within a few minutes she was able to observe and assess our situation, offer feedback and recommendations. From the beginning Elaine makes it clear that the owner must be ?trained? as well as the pet. Whereas her approach is direct and straightforward, she is also sensitive and caring. She has very good communication skills: she communicates clearly and succinctly, listens and watches carefully, and asks questions to check for understanding. She offers good examples, models desired pet-owner behavior and makes sure we can demonstrate what she teaches.

awesome pet trainer!!!

Why didn't I think of that? This question kept going through my mind as Elaine showed me how Molly and I would make a better team. It's all so simple when you know it.. and Elaine left me with no doubts that she knows it, and can show others how to do it. Thank you, Elaine.

Hi elaine..have been reading the testimonials here on your site..awesome! Wish there was another you here in arizona. It was good talking to you tonight and you can bet that I will be trying your suggestions with winston even if there isn't a storm. He barks at just about everything..so perhaps allowing him more time in his wheelchair next to me whatever I am doing will help also..it's tough with seventeen of them to be able to concentrate on just one, but maybe a few hours a day attached to his leash, being attached to me and me being right there to discipline, will help with his barking so much. Thank you so much for talking to me and "waking me up" to what I am doing and not doing! You were a huge help and I will keep you posted...I am on oxygen all the time and cannot always get to the "problem" fast enough so will make some changes and adjustments to hopefully help keep the problems at bay..again,thank you!
